The Department of Educationstarted its journey from the academic session 2016-2017. The Department offersan undergraduate BA Program and Generic Elective Courses in Education under theCBCS pattern.

The great leader, NelsonMandela was of the opinion, “Education is the most powerful weapon which youcan use to change the world”. Since the department’s inception it has a historyof disseminating knowledge among its students about the forms of education,educational policies, educational commissions and committees, laws and rightsrelated to education and several other aspects related to education predominantin our country.

The two teachers of the Departmentalso promote an interdisciplinary exchange of ideas with other departments likeSociology, Psychology, Philosophy and so on as these subjects are integrallyrelated to the discipline of Education. The department also motivates thestudent to participate in extracurricular activities aimed at all round developmentof the learner’s personality.
