The hectic demands of modern lifestyle and theincessant pressure to meet different deadlines build up physical and mentalstress in the learners as well as in the incumbents of the college. As it iswell known that stress in any form undermines the performance of the victim,emphasis was led on introducing the Yoga practices in the college. The age oldIndian practice of Yoga helps not only to relieve stress but also brings abouta positive psycho-physiological change in the person who practices itregularly. In a given academic year, students, teachers and non-teaching staffparticipate in the yoga sessions held regularly under the guidance of anexpert. Further, on 21st June of each year, the International Yoga Day is celebrated by the college. It isinteresting to note that one of our college students named Anamika Mondal who is also an NSS volunteer was selected as aparticipant in the Yoga performance of Republic Day parade in New Delhi held on 26thJanuary, 2019.
