The Mathematics Department shares the vision of Raniganj Girls College of achieving excellence in teaching and research. Department of Mathematics, Raniganj Girls College was established in 1990. The Department offers General degree Course from the Academic Session 1990-1991 and offers B.Sc. Honours in Mathematics from the Academic session 2000-2001. Currently the department runs three years (Six Semesters) Bachalor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in mathematics (Honours and Programme) under Choice Based Credit Systems (C.B.C.S). Academic activities of the department apart from teaching and research include like organizing seminars, workshops,Students seminars, exhibitions etc. The Department has one seminar Library for students which is equipped with more than two hundred text and reference books.Students of this department are actively participated in several cultural functions, quiz, debate, preparation of wall magazine etc.
